A consent interface records what a visitor selected. It does not guarantee that every analytics and advertising tag responds correctly. Etalon exists to measure that difference, apply the right controls, and verify the resulting behavior.
When enforcement changes what analytics can see, the work continues. Etalon Engineering rebuilds the tracking you're allowed to keep so compliance does not leave marketing and data teams working from broken signals.

02 / The name
A name taken from precision measurement.
In optical physics, an etalon is a precision instrument that uses interference to reveal small differences between states. Our work follows the same principle: compare the privacy state a visitor selected with the behavior the tracking stack actually produced. The difference is the finding.
The name reflects how Etalon operates: measure first, isolate the discrepancy, then correct the system.

Etalon Spectra observes the tracking stack before and after opt-out. Etalon Opt-Out Mode applies supported enforcement behavior in Google Tag Manager. QA validates the corrected result and supports time-bound technical certification.

Etalon was created from a decade of hands-on work across digital marketing, GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, consent systems, server-side measurement, BigQuery, and reporting.
That background matters because privacy controls and marketing measurement cannot be designed in isolation. The work combines the judgment of a marketing operator with the discipline of an analytics engineer: understand what the business needs to measure, then engineer the path permitted to carry it.
